The Stockholm Burlesque Festival is run by Bichard Studios: dashing duo Fräulein Frauke and John-Paul Bichard.
“The Saucy Songbird” Fräulein Frauke is one of Sweden’s biggest international burlesque stars, renowned for her beautiful singing, extravagant and lavish costumes and intellectual creativity on stage, regularly performing around Europe and beyond. Nearly 8 years ago, she started the celebrated Fräulein Frauke Presents burlesque club that she now runs with her husband. FFP has grown to be Sweden’s biggest burlesque and cabaret club, with over 700 guests and excellent international performers, live music and a classic vintage aesthetic. Together with her husband, artist and photographer, John Paul Bichard, she also co-runs “Bichard Studios”- the couple´s framework for their work: in the burlesque scene with events and photography, in the corporate world with video and shoots and in their own personal, creative and artistic work. As well as producing and performing, Frauke is also a singer, costume maker and stylist.
John-Paul Bichard (they/them) is an English born artist, filmmaker and photographer who’s works have been shown and collected around the globe. Voted number 1 burlesque photographer for two years running. They are one half of Bichard Studios: the event organiser and photographer duo who are prominent figures in the Swedish burlesque and cabaret scene. Many talented stars from the worldwide community have been captured by their lens for an ongoing photo series ‘Exquisite identities’ which encapsulates the intensity and extravagance of the Burlesque World. The main focus of their photographic works is to question and explore identity, sexuality and role through the characters and alter egos of extraordinary people.
They co-run Sweden’s biggest burlesque and cabaret club Fräulein Frauke Presents together with their wife Fräulein Frauke.
